My story telling- from me with luv.

It took me quite some time to think about what I want to post in my latest blog. Finally I came out with the idea to introduce a little about myself. Some of words, sentences maybe in broken English ok. Of coz la, we Malaysian ma. Like Singaporean they have their own SINGLISH-
Everyone called me Zul. But when I’m in State of Johor my friend call me Azrie. Commonly people will mistake me as a Chinese but sometimes I do get mistaken for other races such as Malay....hik3~looked like Chinese ka? But I’m pure Iban la. I don't know if I really look like that, but I know I don't look like a typical Iban because I also have mixed blood. My grandfather was a mixed Iban-Chinese (means my ancestor was a Chinese), that was what my grandma told me la. I believe that. I won't story-tell about Iban culture or heritage but I will talk about my feeling as an Iban surrounding by non-Ibans.
Sometime Malayan people don’t believe that I’m Sarawakian because my Bahasa dint sounds like others Sarawakian. Sound like pure Johorian? Maybe then, because I am assimilated with other cultures mostly Johorian. Yes, they should because the worst thing I really don’t know my own culture but I can speak Iban fluently.

When I working in KL and I stay with my Malay Semenanjung friends, just wonder until now I didn’t have any Iban friend and little Sarawakians. Sound weird or funny right? But that the true fact lo. Back to KL. When in KL I keep hearing them saying that we Ibans/Dayaks still live in “gua”(cave). What the problem with that, but now we live like you all in KL ma. In house, rerrace, bungalow. But in KL mostly include me that time live in house like Sarang Merpati ? (apartment, condominium ets yang bertingkat tingkat)

Yes true fact that we Ibans hunt people's head but that was a very long time ago. My ancestor one of them-keeping head. But nowdays it becomes a true legend-end of story. When I’m working and travelled in West Malaysia and sometimes I've been asked what do Ibans eat. I just answered we eat just the same as they eat just the way we cook the meal is different. Mee kolok is famous one la instead others (but deep in my heart I want to tell them, Iban eat pork as  most enjoyable meal but don't want to say that as my friends are Malays and I’m Muslim too.hahah..hambek kaw...i do respect them la and my races/my parents/myself as a Muslim-Behave ok...  Semangat 1Malaysia katakan.

I also keep thinking why some West Malaysians asked, is Sarawak currency same as Singapore? Erk?lantak ko la.
Nahhh...whatever... I always proud to be an Iban no matter what...

ngeee~i'm single but my heart already taken..lalalalala. I just fall in love with....jeng jeng jeng..
